Spoon Mage™ Note:

Laura’s delicious bars were originally published at our sister site CC Palate, the best blog for Calorie Counters. All recipes have the nutrition facts run through Calorie Count’s ingredient analysis which is then linked at the top of the recipe.

They are slightly crumbly which makes them easy to eat and not at all hard on teeth. Make sure you sample each delicious crumb!

This is a great template recipe. Feel free to substitute your favorite nut butters, syrups, cereals, dried fruit, seeds, or nuts. Or add a bit of coconut either raw or toasted.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°.

8- or 9-inch square pan lined with a long sheet of parchment paper that extends up the side of the pan a bit and then lightly sprayed with Pam.

In a medium pot, warm almond butter, honey, syrup, vanilla, and brown sugar until sugar has melted and almond butter has thinned. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour warm liquid over the dry ingredients and mix well.

Spread the mixture into the pan and press until evenly spread. Use a piece of parchment paper so it doesn’t stick to your hands.

Bake for about 25 minutes or until set and browning a bit.

After removing the pan from the oven, use a piece of parchment paper to flatten the bars a bit.

Allow to cool completely.

Lift the ends of the parchment to remove the bars from the pan and place the granola onto a cutting board. Cut into squares, and mindfully nibble on the remaining crumbs.

Enjoy mindfully.
