1/4 cup ancho or your favorite mild chile powder
1/2 t hot chile powder of your choice IF you choose
2 t cumin
1 t onion powder
1 t garlic powder
1/2 t Mexican oregano
Pinch or two of salt

If you cannot find Mexican oregano, do not use Mediterranean oregano, it has a different flavor and would not fit in this chili mixture.
